Westbury FM Partners with Charlton Athletic Community Trust (CACT)

Charlton Athletic Community Trust

Westbury FM announces a collaborative social responsibility partnership with Charlton Athletic Community Trust (CACT) to provide work experience opportunities in the construction and facilities management sector for young people hoping to transition into full-time, paid apprenticeships.

Through pioneering and innovative programs, CACT maintains a strong presence in schools and engages with disadvantaged or socially excluded groups. Their initiatives focus on crime prevention, community-based football coaching, and creating opportunities for personal and professional development.

CACT’s programs align with five core objectives: improving educational achievement, creating employment pathways, promoting healthier lifestyles, strengthening community connections, and reducing crime.

Our partnership with CACT showcases the power of collaboration in creating a lasting impact. By continuing to work alongside CACT and other local organisations, Westbury aims to inspire others to get involved and support the causes that matter most.

Sonia Murton, Westbury FM said:

“We are incredibly excited to announce our new social responsibility partnership with Charlton Athletic Community Trust (CACT). Charlton’s community trust initiatives work across local boroughs, providing young people with mentorship and diversionary activities to help them build essential skills for their future success.

As a proud partner, our role at Westbury FM will be to offer work experience opportunities and support the transition of these young individuals into paid apprenticeships. I am truly thrilled to be part of this initiative, marking an important milestone for Westbury as we welcome CACT as one of our first charitable partners—hopefully, the first of many!

Supporting youth charities is something deeply personal to me, as not everyone has access to the same opportunities in life. Being able to help young people from disadvantaged backgrounds enter the construction industry and secure a sustainable career aligns perfectly with Westbury’s core values. We look forward to making a meaningful impact together.”
